Beschreibung

The Central is a creative project space located in a quiet courtyard at Schlesisches Tor in Berlin-Kreuzberg. We are a mix of filmmakers, designers, and tech enthusiasts. The atmosphere is focused and personal.

We offer fixed and flexible desks, either in the light-filled main room (85 sqm) or, for an additional fee, in the separate studio (25 sqm). A desk (160cmx80cm) includes high-speed internet, a personal screen, 24/7 access, and for fixed desks, there is also a lockable rolling container.

Accessible to everyone is the separate meeting room (25 sqm). It is equipped with a conference table, ten chairs, a whiteboard, and a projector with HDMI connection. The entire room can be entered and locked separately.

In the fully equipped kitchen and dining area, we occasionally cook and eat lunch together. When it's warm, we also enjoy the green garden. There are plenty of bicycle stands in the courtyard, and the "Schlesisches Tor" subway station is a one-minute walk away. Supermarkets and various cafes or restaurants are also nearby.

Some background: In the 1950s, the premises were a bank branch. Later, two artists transformed the space into a studio. In the summer of 2022, we (four friends) renovated everything into the current project space. Occasionally, community dinners, film screenings, or chess evenings take place here.

If you're interested, we'd be happy to give you a tour.
